The Jordanian Ministry of Health has placed under quarantine a Chinese worker, who arrived in Jordan from the Coronavirus-hit Chinese city of Wuhan five days ago, as a precaution for the deadly virus.
In a press statement, Assistant Secretary-General forPrimary Health Care at the Jordanian Health Ministry Adnan Ishaq said Jordan isfree of the disease, and that the quarantine was ordered although there were noindications the worker was infected with the virus.
Ishaq told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the ministryhad sent a team to a project in the southern Attarat region to conduct thenecessary checks on Chinese workers there to ensure their safety.
