The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA), in coordination with the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCUAE), has announced a joint initiative to alleviate the suffering of Iranian victims affected by the torrential rains and unprecedented floods in Iran.

In a joint statement, the two authorities noted that this joint initiative comes from the bonds of Muslims and emphasizes human solidarity with the Iranian people.

They are currently considering the necessary mechanisms to activate this initiative and contribute positively to reducing the impact of torrential rains and floods in the disaster-stricken areas.

It is noteworthy that unprecedented floods in Iran swept many of Iranian provinces after the torrential rains that fell during the last period, especially in the provinces of Mazandaran, Kulestan (in the North) and Lurstan (in the West), Khuzestan (southwest), and Faris (south), killing more than 70 people and injuring about 800 others Iranian victims, adding to the significant material damage caused to many of the housing units and the various facilities in the cities and villages as well as the citizens' property and agricultural land.
