Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah instructed Abdullah Al-Azmi, director of the Health Department in the Northern Border Region; to honor a surgeon after his photo of breaking fast. While carrying out a surgical operation went viral on social media.

Dr. Abdul Razaq Al-Huzaimi, head of the Department of Neurosurgery and Spine at Prince Abdulaziz Bin Musaed Hospital in Arar; was seen in the image as helped by a nursing assistant to drink juice to break his fast while performing surgery.

It also showed the embodiment of perfection in carrying out this noble life-saving mission of many health heroes; who rolled up their sleeves to perform surgeries and other missions without worrying about their own fatigue, hunger and thirst.

Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, Dr. Al-Huzaimi commented: "The operation was urgent for a 40-year-old patient suffering from brain hemorrhage.

While undergoing the surgical operation; iftar time appeared and that prompted the staff to bring in water and juice quickly; without any interruption of the operation, later-succeeded."

Dr. Al-Huzaimi also said that all his colleagues are engaged in their work round-the-clock; to carry out their mission to save the lives of people and confront the corona pandemic. "Surgeries are continuing unhindered even at fasting times," he added.
