Al-Taawon have snatched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup title after beating Al-Ittihad 2-1 in the tournament’s final game late on Thursday.
Serbian striker Prijovic snatched an early lead for Al-Ittihad at the 32 minute, before Al-Taawon’s Talal Al-Absi scored the equalizer in the 54thminute.
Cameroon’s striker Tawamba snatched the victory for Al-Taawon during the injury time to finish the game with 2-1 win over Al-Ittihad.
The Jeddah side booked their place in final after beating Al-Nasr 4-2 in the tournament’s semfinals.
Meanwhile, Al-Taawon reached the final after smashing Al Hilal 5-0 in the tournament’s semis.
