The Arab Coalition forces on Tuesday intercepted and destroyed a drone; launched by the Iran-supported terrorist Houthi militia toward the southern city of Khamis Mushait.

The coalition confirmed that the Iran-backed Houthis continue its attempts to target civilians and civilian objects. It also stressed that it takes operational measures to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure objects from hostile attempts.

The latest attack comes two days after the coalition destroyed six armed drones; launched by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi militia towards the Kingdom, bringing the total it intercepted to 17 on that day.

In Manama, Bahrain strongly condemned the launch of a drone towards the Saudi city of Khamis Mushait in a cowardly terrorist act that reflects its hostile behavior in targeting civilians, civilian installations and objects as well as its stubborn rejection of a ceasefire and delinquency to peace.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry also reiterated unwavering support for Saudi Arabia regarding whatever addresses its security, stability and territorial integrity; stressing the need for the international community to assume its responsibilities in condemning these heinous criminal acts carried out by the Houthi militia.

In Jeddah, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen expressed, in a statement Wednesday, his strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi terrorist militia attack; targeting innocent civilians with a bomb-laden drone, which the Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed.

Al-Othaimeen, also stressed that the OIC condemns the terrorist practices committed by the Houthi militia and those who support it to target innocent civilians and civilian objects, reiterating the OIC's support for all measures taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain its security, stability, and the safety of citizens and residents on its territories.
