The Arab Coalition forces intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone in Yemen airspace launched on Monday; by the Iran-backed Houthi militia targeting civilians in Saudi Arabia, cited a report in SPA quoting official spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki.

"Joint Coalition Forces have intercepted and destroyed this morning (Monday), in Yemeni airspace; a bomb-laden UAV launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia; to target civilians and civilian objects in the Southern Region," Col. Al-Maliki also said in a statement.

This latest Houthi-launched attack also follows three failed attempts by the Iran-backed militia on Sunday to launch UAVs toward Saudi Arabia, targeting civilians.

The Coalition forces also intercepted and destroyed, on Sunday; bomb-laden UAVs launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia on three separate occasions.

The first bid also made in the morning, with the next two drones, both destroyed in Yemen airspace; launched in the afternoon and evening respectively.

This destruction of the drone early Sunday came after the Coalition on Saturday evening intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched by the Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia.

Saturday's interception of the Houthi launched drone was also the third in two days as the Coalition forces had on Friday intercepted and destroyed two explosive-laden drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

The failed attacks are the latest in the series of armed drones launched by the Houthis in recent weeks.
