Arab Coalition Refutes Houthi Militia Claims about Interception of F-15 warplane

 The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen refutedon Wednesday claims by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen that they haddowned a Saudi warplane.

Official Spokesman of theCoalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen COL Turki Al-Malki said in astatement that "In reference to what the terrorist Iran-backed Houthimilitia circulated that it has shot down a coalition air force (F-15)fighter jet is baseless and unfounded. What was published today is a previous,failed attempt conducted on July 1st, 2018. And what the terrorist Houthimilitia published is a continuation of its deliberate falsificationmethodology."

Yemen Houthis said on Wednesdaythat they had intercepted a coalition warplane near the border with SaudiArabia.

He saidthe Houthi statements refer to a failed attempt to down a warplane in 2018 andthat today's allegations are "an extension of the militias' lies".
