Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority extends Quran Recitation & Athan competitions

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has announced the extension of the registration period for the Quran Recitation and Athan competitions till August 18, 2019 instead of July 22 to enable all those wishing to register to take part.

By extending the registration period, GEA seeks to accommodate the large turnout of interested participants from all over the world. GEA also stated that it will announce the new dates for the next three stages soon.

The two religious competitions were launched by GEA Chairman, Turki bin Abdul-Mohsen Al Al-Sheikh earlier this year. They are witnessing a great turnout, where the number of participants until today, the 23rd of July, reached 30,000.
