Oil prices plunge as coronavirus fears drive markets

China has reported no new cases of coronavirus in Hubei, the original epicentre of the outbreak, and zero locally transmitted cases across China over the past day, for the first time in the past eight weeks, according to dpa.

The National Health Commission, however, counted 34 new cases of “imported” infections among travellers who came from abroad, according to data released Thursday.

There were also eight new deaths from the disease, all of which were registered in Hubei province.
