The European Union called upon all parties to theconflict in Libya to support the United Nations efforts to bring peace andreturn to the dialogue table in order to find a political solution to thecrisis in the country.
In a joint statement, the Foreign Ministers of the EU MemberStates expressed their firm conviction that the Libyan crisis cannot beresolved by military means, affirming that the ongoing conflict will onlyincrease the suffering of the people and strengthen the divisions andinstability in Libya.
The European Union called on all members of theinternational community to comply with the UN resolution on the arms embargo,adding that continued external interventions are fueling the fire of thecrisis.
The EU stressed, in particular, the need to prevent anyunilateral action.
