The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States reaffirmed paying utmost attention to the children rights, at all levels, in line with the children rights' relevant UN legislations and agreements.

This came in a joint statement of the GCC member states delivered by Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the UN Office in Geneva Ambassador Yusuf Abdulkarrim Boujairi during the annual discussion on the children rights, within the workings of the 46th session of the Human Rights Council.

On behalf of the GCC member states, he called to double efforts in order to establish a network of protective measures for the childhood.
