Saudi Arabia's Attorney General Sheikh Saudal-Muajab and Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika underlinedstrong ties between the two countries' judicial authorities, stressing thatcoordination was ongoing in the fight against terrorism, corruption, andtransnational organized crime.
Sheikh Saud met on Tuesday with Chaika, who is currentlyvisiting the Kingdom at the head of a high-level delegation. The Saudi AttorneyGeneral noted that the visit fell within the framework of cooperation andexchange of expertise and information and coordination between the PublicProsecution and its Russian counterpart.
During the meeting, the two officials reviewed a number ofissues of mutual interest and ways of enhancing cooperation in the judicialfield, and discussed the outcome of the joint memorandum of understandingsigned earlier this year during the visit of the Attorney General to Moscow.
For his part Chaika said the relationship between the twosides was strong and constructive, adding that the visit was very successfuland effective.
