The Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia attack on a fuel tank at a petroleum products distribution station in north Jeddah has drawn strong regional and international condemnation; with UN Secretary-General António Guterres leading from the front.

In a statement; the UN chief expressed concern over the terrorist attack by a projectile on a fuel tank in north of Jeddah.

He said that the continued attacks launched by the Houthi militia; targeting civilian targets and infrastructure in Saudi Arabia violate international humanitarian law.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's regional allies strongly denounced the attack, pledging their full support to the Kingdom.

UAE full solidarity

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC); said that the United Arab Emirates condemns this terrorist act of sabotage. Besides, considering it new evidence of the Houthi terrorist militia's attempts to undermine security and stability in the region.

The ministry renewed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia regarding these terrorist attacks. Adding to its firm standing with the Kingdom against any threat to its security and stability. The ministry also reiterated the UAE's support for the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to preserve its security. Besides, the safety of its citizens and residents.

The statement also emphasized that the security of the UAE and the security of Saudi Arabia are indivisible. And that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is a threat to Emirates' security and stability system.

Other Arab reactions

Kuwait also expressed its condemnation of the terrorist attack in the strongest terms.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti foreign ministry said: "The persistence of such criminal and sinful acts against civilian lives and infrastructure. Besides, global energy supplies aims to destabilize Saudi Arabia and the entire region."

The ministry also affirmed that the State of Kuwait fully stands with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and fully supports all measures it might take to protect its security and stability.

Egypt confirmed its rejection and strong condemnation of such terrorist sabotage acts committed against vital installations; which threaten the Kingdom's security and the stability of energy supplies.

Cowardly attack

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a statement affirmed its stand and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to confront sabotage and terrorist acts against vital oil installations, which target the security and stability of energy supplies to the world.

Speaker of Arab Parliament Adel Abdurrahman Al-Assoumi has strongly condemned the cowardly attack.

In a statement on Monday, Al-Assoumi said that targeting of the petroleum products distribution terminal is a cowardly terrorist act. He added that it is part of a plan to target vital and economic facilities. Besides, affecting energy supplies and oil prices in the global market.

Al-Assoumi also called on the international community to take urgent action to confront these terrorist acts.

Al-Assoumi also expressed his confidence in the Kingdom's ability to protect its vital and economic facilities and firmly confront terrorist groups. He affirmed the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support in all measures it takes to protect its vital and economic facilities against whoever tries to undermine its security and stability.
