Under joint patronage of Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and Bahraini Oil Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa; the International Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (iCCUS 2020) Conference and Exhibition starts today in Riyadh.
The event will be with participation of more than 800 participants; including oil and energy ministers from across the globe, along with a number of interested participants in this regard.
The two-day conference will discuss the role of Capture, Utilization, and Storage of carbon in enabling the global carbon economy.
The iCCUS 2020, which features among the most important specialised events aimed at exchanging information and expertise.
Besides, showcasing the latest technology in this vital field, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage.
The event which sponsored by Saudi Aramco, oil companies in Bahrain and other international firms; the Saudi Energy Ministry and National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) organizes the iCCUS 2020.
Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa also expressed delight at organizing iCCUS 2020 jointly with Saudi Arabia to deal with key issues of common interest related to the the technology of capturing carbon dioxide emissions, reuse and recycling with a view to combating climate change and optimising oil production that will benefit the economic system
He commended the initiative which was put forward by the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA to organize this conference in its first edition, which came to highlight the most important projects and voluntary initiatives implemented by the Kingdom of Bahrain to reduce the negative effects of climate change.
