"I arrived in Saudi Arabia in an important visit aims atstrengthening relations with a friendly country that we are very proud of and Iwill be engaged in busy programs during the visit," Indian PM tweeted in Arabic.

Indian PM: "Partnership with Saudi Arabia includes downstream oiland gas projects, and India looks forward to working closely with Aramco andinvesting in oil projects".

"Saudi Arabia will invest in downstream oil and gas projects inIndia as part of a strategic partnership between the two countries, a move thatalso contributes to providing a permanent outlet for the sale of crude from theworld's largest oil exporter," Indian PM, Narendra Modi said on Tuesday.

Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Riyadh for participating in theFII2019, will meet Saudi King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammedbin Salman later in the day.

"From a buyer-seller relationship, we are now moving towards acloser strategic partnership that will include Saudi investments in downstreamoil and gas projects," Modi's office said in an official statement.

For his part, the Governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF),Yasser Al-Rumayyan, confirmed that the attendance of the FII2019 has doubledfrom the first session.

It's noteworthy that the FII2019 Forum, sponsored by the PIF,kicked off Tuesday in Riyadh with the participation of 49 partners and a highpresence of heads of state and government officials from various countries.
