Indonesia praises Praises Services Provided by Makkah Road Initiative for Pilgrims

The Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, has thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his support and care for Hajj services, praising the implementation of the Makkah Road Initiative for the second year in a row, with latest technologies that surpass conventional procedures at any airport in the world.

"The Initiative is a qualitative initiative that has contributed to facilitating procedures for Indonesian pilgrims, which made the Indonesian government interested in its implementation," Muhammad Jusuf Kalla told a press conference on Sunday.

Meanwhile, a number of Indonesian pilgrims also praised the services being provided by Makkah Road Initiative, organized by the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with other relevant government bodies, pointing out that this initiative aims to facilitate the services provided for pilgrims and expedite their traveling procedures.

TheIndonesian pilgrims expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Saudigovernment, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman binAbdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, for thenewly-introduced Makkah Road Initiative designed to save pilgrims' time andeffort before they enter the Saudi border sea, land and air inlets while comingfor Hajj or Umrah (minor Hajj).

Moreover, IndonesianMinister of Religious Affairs Dr. Lukman Hakim Saifuddin has praised theservices being provided by the Makkah Road Initiative to facilitate the travelprocedures of Indonesian pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to performHajj rituals, pointing out that it comes to provide comfort in pilgrims'traveling from the moment they leave Jakarta for performing Hajj rituals untilthey return safely to Indonesia.

This came ina statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the launch of the Makkah RoadInitiative today at the Soekarno–Hatta International Airport.

"Thisinitiative is one of great services being provided by the Kingdom of SaudiArabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques KingSalman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the two holy mosques, holy sites and theirvisitors. He pointed out that Muslims around the world witness the continuousdevelopment every year in the services being offered by the Kingdom to pilgrimsand Umrah performers." Dr. Lukman Hakim Saifuddin said.
