Islamic Cooperation Organization condemns attack on Saudi Arabia's Abha airport

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Abha International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 23 June 2019, which resulted in the death of a resident and the injury of 21 civilians of various nationalities.

“The Organization condemns these criminal acts carried out by Al- Houthi terrorist militia against civilians, public facilities and holy sites, and it holds these militias and those behind them, fully responsible,” said OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen in a statement today.

Dr. Al-Othaimeen affirmed the Organization’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures being taken to confront this dangerous terrorism against the security of the region and the world. He also called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities in confronting these terrorist acts targeting civilians and threatening the security and safety of civil aviation.
