Jeddah receives 19,432 sheep from Sudan

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has announced the arrival of a ship at Jeddah Islamic Port from the Sudanese port of "Sawakin" laden with 19,432 heads of sheep, bringing the number of livestock imported since the beginning of April to 160,472 heads, as part of the Ministry's efforts to achieve food security and maintain price stability.

The Ministry stated that based on the examination results that showed the sheep are safe and healthy, all quarantine measures in the veterinary quarantine law of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States and its executive regulations in the Kingdom have been applied to shipments.
