Jordan's Prime Minister Dr. Omar Al-Razzaz held a meeting with Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Eng. Amr Nassar and Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals Dr. Salim al-Jubouri.

The two sides discussed opportunitiesfor economic integration between Jordan and each of Egypt and Iraq.

Moreover, they also discussed thechances of trade stimulating economic cooperation and trade exchange accordingto specific timetables.

A Jordanian-Egyptian-Iraqi meeting discussed in Amman the preparation of plans and mechanisms to implement what was agreed upon during the summit held recently in Cairo between Jordanian King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.

The meeting, which brought togetherJordanian Minister of Industry and Trade Tarek Al-Hammouri, Iraqi Minister ofIndustry and Minerals Saleh Al-Jubouri and Egyptian Minister of Trade andIndustry Amr Nassar, reviewed the mechanisms of enhancing economic integrationand cooperation, including the promotion and development of cooperation inindustrial fields and joint industrial zones.

It also discussed cooperation in the sectorsof energy and infrastructure, reconstruction as well as increasing tradeexchange.

The ministers agreed to facilitatetrade and increase the volume of trade between the three countries, enhanceintegration and cooperation in the field of energy (oil pipeline, electriclinkage), achieve industrial integration among the three countries, and developjoint industrial zones.
