KACST Improves Talented Students’ Research, Innovation Skills to Participate in Regional, International Events

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), in cooperation with King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), organized on Sunday the opening ceremony of the 2021 Generation of Science and Technology Enrichment Program which seeks to improve the skills of talented students in scientific research and innovation and prepare them for regional and international competitions and events.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, the General Supervisor of Research and Innovation Support at KACST Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Malik voiced the Riyadh-based city's keenness on supporting entrepreneurship and improving the skills of young researchers and human resources to meet the market needs, citing the importance of the program in this regard.

Dr. Al-Malik explained that the program aims at promoting innovation spirit in the local community, improving students' scientific research skills and increasing their contributions to the national scientific input and role in community service as well as preparing them for participation in regional and international competitions.

A total of 50 male and female students from the intermediate to the secondary grades are participating in the four-week program after meeting all the scientific and eligibility requirements.

The program covers a variety of topics, including nuclear science, energy, water, environment, astronomy, aviation, IT and telecommunication.
