King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Center holds Symposium "Arabic in Central Asia" in Souq Okaz

King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Center for the Arabic Language (KAICA) will hold at Souq Okaz 13 a symposium entitled “Arabic in Central Asia” on Tuesday.

The event aims at underlining the presence of Arabic in Central Asia and its influence on education, culture and science, Said Dr. Abdullah Salih ALWashmi, Secretary General of KAICA.

The symposium will focus on Arabic Teaching syllabus in Central Asia, the role of publishing houses and Arabic books, translation from and into Arabic in addition to Arabic manuscripts and the role of Central Asian libraries in preserving Arabic and Islamic Heritage, Dr. AlWashmi said.

KAICA lauds 6 years of excellent partnership with Souq Okaz organizing bodies, and it held “Arabic and the World” event in previous years and broadened its networking and cooperation with other participants in the Souq Okaz from Saudi and visiting foreign entities, Dr. AlWashmi added.
