King Salman Makes a Phone Call with Trump After Florida’s Accident

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman offered hiscondolences to US President Donald Trump in a phone call after a SaudiAir Force trainee opened fire on Friday at a US naval base, killing threepeople before being shot dead by police.

"King Salman just calledto express his sincere condolence and give his sympathies to the families andfriends of the warriors who were killed and wounded in the attack that tookplace in Pensacola, Florida," Trump tweeted.

"The King said that the Saudi people are greatly angeredby the actions of the shooter, and that this person in no way shape or formrepresents the feelings of the Saudi people," the US president said.

During the phone conversation, King Salman assured President Trumpthat Saudi Arabia supports the US and the issuance of the king directives tofully cooperate with the US agencies to disclose the circumstances of theincident, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Reactingto the incident, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan said: "TheKingdom expresses its deepest condolences to the families of victims, and tothe American people.
