King Salman praises developments of new history curricula in education

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired, in Riyadh Today, the 50th meeting of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah).

King Salman bin Abdulaziz stressed the importance of paying attention to the national history, appreciating the development of King Abdulaziz Foundation for Social Studies courses in public education.

King Salman also hailed new curriculum of the national history of universities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, which presents the country's heritage and history in a distinctive educational manner.

In its meeting under the presidency of King Salman, the Board of Directors issued a number of development decisions for Darah including: Approval of the conversion of the Saudi Digital History Center to the Saudi Center for Digital Content.

This to achieve the objectives of King Abdulaziz Darah established by the presence of an integrated center that achieves inclusiveness in the transfer of Saudi content to digital format, including Saudi history in order to benefit from it in many modern means of communication technology.

The Council also approved the implementation of the National Historical Studies Development Initiative under the auspices of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Vice Chairman of King Abdul Aziz Foundation.

This initiative aims to develop aspects of the Saudi historical school to be a pioneer and influential, including the development of the methodology and scientific and academic programs and upgrading the activities of the Saudi Historical Society and its programs to increase its effectiveness in the scientific movement.
