The Royal Court announced on Thursday that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud underwent a successful laparoscopic surgery to eradicate the gallbladder at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.
"King Salman will spend some time at the hospital according to the treatment plan recommended by the medical team," The Royal Court said in a statement.
King Salman extended his sincere thanks to citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their noble feelings.
The King also expressed his appreciation to everyone who has called or sent a message wishing him good health from Majesties, Excellences, and Highnesses of the leaders of Arab, Islamic and friendly countries.
