Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Sawaha on Monday opened a new digital center, the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa.
The Deloitte Digital Solutions Center will support the development of innovative digital solutions for the public and private sectors, as well as the creation of quality employment opportunities for national digital cadres, being a gateway to provide digital consultancy services across the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Middle East. In its next phase, the center aims to qualify 200 Saudi digital cadres, in addition to its work on developing national human capabilities through special programs including scholarships and training, and work to improve consultancy services in this area.
It will also support the Kingdom’s efforts to build a digital economy and stimulate an innovative digital society.
The center’s inauguration is in line with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s recently launched strategy, paving the way for attracting more technical investments in the Kingdom.
