MWL Chief to Visit Genocide Sites in Bosnia, Herzegovina

Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary-General Mohammed al-Issa will lead a high-level delegation of Islamic scholars of various sects. He’ll also accompany religious leaders of different religions. This’ll be during their visits to the genocide sites at Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the death camp at Auschwitz in Poland.

Heinous crimes

The visit comes as part of an international tour to several sites of injustice and persecution. This is to condemn these heinous crimes committed against humanity, regardless of the identity or values of the perpetrators or victims.

The visit of the Islamic delegation confirms the Islamic values and asserts that Muslims condemn every criminal act.

The Islamic leaders will visit the sites and affirm that Islam is a religion of mercy and fairness. Islam is against all malicious practices, adding that this is not limited to Muslims, but involves everyone.

A large number of senior scholars of the MWL participated in various efforts. This is to explain Islamic justice in its related positions, during several visits. This gets clear in the positive image of Islam and Muslims against all forms of extremism and radicalization.

The Muslim World League is an international non-governmental Islamic organization based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It aims to present the true Islam and its tolerant principles and to further provide humanitarian aid.

It also wants to extend bridges of dialogue and cooperation with all, engage in positive openness to all cultures and civilizations, follow the path of centrism and moderation to realize the message of Islam and ward off movements calling for extremism, violence, and exclusion for a world full of peace, justice and coexistence.

The League holds conferences, seminars and meetings around the world to debate topics of interest to Muslims and others. It also signs agreements with various official and popular organizations around the world and takes initiatives to achieve common objectives.
