New Saudi Achievement in the Field of Measurement and Calibration

The National Measurement and Calibration Center (NMCC) of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) passed the Peer Evaluation carried out by the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP), in a Saudi achievement by the Center for the first time in its history since its establishment in 1986.

The Peer Evaluation is one of the highest technical and administrative evaluation levels of calibration institutes within the framework of the International Recognition Agreement (CIPM MRA), and is carried out by a group of international specialists in metrology, where the center was assessed by six international experts from the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Ukraine and Turkey. The evaluation process took a full week, in its technical and administrative aspects in order to demonstrate the metrological performance of the Center’s laboratories with the requirements of CIPM MRA.
