The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, has approved new financial assistance for a number of projects benefiting different member states including the Islamic Republic of The Gambia, Sudan, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Union of the Comoros, Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.

This assistance comes as part of the continuous support being provided by the OIC through the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), which is one of OIC's subsidiary organs to emergency sectors, universities, centers and societies, hospitals, and schools in member states.

Dr. Al-Othaimeen confirmed that this assistance represents the organization's solidarity with these countries, commending the continuous humanitarian support that ISF provides for Islamic countries and communities.
