SAGO completes procedures for 2nd wheat tender in 2021

Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has completed procedures for importing 295,000 tons of imported wheat; representing the second tender in 2021, from the European Union, Australia, the Black Sea, North and South America.

Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has completed procedures for importing 295,000 tons of imported wheat; representing the second tender in 2021, from the European Union, Australia, the Black Sea, North and South America.

SAGO Governor Eng. Ahmad Abdulaziz Al-Fares stated that this tender comes within the framework of SAGO's plan. This is to meet the local demand from milling companies.

The tender is also to maintain the reserve stock of wheat; adding that the amount specified in the tender is distributed to five ships.

The load is in two ships carrying the amount of 120,000 tons for Jeddah Islamic Port; two ships with the amount of 120,000 tons for Yanbu Commercial Port and one ship with the amount of 55,000 for Jazan Port.

Supplying the wheat will to be during the period of May-June 2021.
