The world today is facing a great challenge, represented in the Corona pandemic and its health, humanitarian and economic impacts, which showed the urgent need for all of us to join hands to face common challenges to humanity.

Saudi Arabia announced during the summit an amount of five hundred million dollars to support efforts to combat the pandemic, and to enhance preparedness and response to emergency situations, and the Kingdom continues to push the international response efforts to deal with the pandemic and address its effects.

Saudi Arabia is also one of the largest donors in the field of humanitarian and development aid, and the Kingdom has not distinguished anyone in these efforts on political, ethnic or religious grounds. During the past three decades, the Kingdom has provided more than eighty-six billion dollars in humanitarian aid, from which eighty-one countries have benefited.

Path for the future

Since the establishment of this organization, Saudi Arabia has been at the forefront of countries seeking to achieve international peace and security, and has always worked and is still making efforts to mediate and reach peaceful solutions to conflicts, and try to avoid them, and support security, stability, growth and prosperity. However, the Middle East region has suffered, and is still, from major security and political challenges that threaten the security of its people and the stability of its countries.

Our region has suffered for long decades from the forces of extremism and chaos trying to impose their policies and orientations to reformulate the present and future of the countries of the region, indifferent to the aspirations of their peoples for growth, prosperity and peace, and we have chosen in Saudi Arabia a path for the future through the Kingdom's Vision 2030, through which we aspire to be a pioneering economy and our society. He interacted with his surroundings, contributing actively to the renaissance of humanity and its civilization.

In its regional and international environment, the Kingdom also pursues a policy based on respect for international laws and norms, the continuous pursuit of security, stability and prosperity in its surroundings, support for political solutions to conflicts, and combating extremism in all its forms and manifestations.

Iranian regime's expansionist activities

Saudi Arabia extended its hands for peace with Iran and dealt with it over the past decades with positivity and openness. It has received its presidents several times to discuss ways to build good-neighborly relations and mutual respect. It also welcomed international efforts to address Iran's nuclear program; but again and again the whole world saw the Iranian regime's exploitation of these efforts in increasing its expansionist activities; building its terrorist networks; using terrorism; and wasting the resources and wealth of the Iranian people to achieve expansion projects; that have only resulted in chaos, extremism and sectarianism.

Targeting oil installations

In continuation of this aggressive approach; the Iranian regime last year targeted oil installations in the Kingdom, in flagrant violation of international laws and an assault on international peace and security, and in a way that confirms that this system does not care about the stability of the global economy and the security of oil supplies to global markets; as it continues through its tools to target The Kingdom with ballistic missiles that exceeded three hundred missiles and more than four hundred drones in flagrant violation of Security Council Resolutions 2216 and 2231, and experiences with the Iranian regime have taught us that partial solutions and attempts to appease do not stop its threats to international peace and security.

A comprehensive solution and a firm international position that guarantees Radically addressing the Iranian regime's pursuit of weapons of mass destruction, developing its ballistic missile program, its interference in the internal affairs of other countries, as well as its sponsorship of terrorism.

Iranian-backed houthi militia

The Iranian regime's interference in Yemen through the coup of the Houthi militia affiliated with it against the legitimate authority has led to a political, economic and humanitarian crisis that the brotherly Yemeni people suffers from, and is a source of threat to the security of the countries of the region and the waterways vital to the global economy, in addition to the disruption of humanitarian aid by those militias.

To the Yemeni people, obstructing all efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen, and not responding to the efforts to calm down; the last of which was the declaration of the coalition last April for a ceasefire in response to the United Nations' call and to provide an opportunity to strengthen efforts to combat the outbreak of the Corona pandemic in Yemen, as it is still continuing in Targeting civilians in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Confronting extremist organizations

Saudi Arabia will not be complacent in defending its national security, nor will it abandon the Yemeni people until it regains its full sovereignty and independence from Iranian hegemony, and will continue to provide humanitarian support to the brotherly Yemeni people, and we will also continue our support for the efforts of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, in accordance with the initiative. And the outcomes of the comprehensive Yemeni national dialogue, and Security Council Resolution 2216.

Terrorism and extremist ideology constitute a major challenge facing the entire world. We also succeeded together over the past few years in achieving important successes in confronting extremist organizations; including defeating ISIS's control of lands in Iraq and Syria, through the efforts of the International Coalition. Legitimacy in Yemen in directing important blows to al-Qaeda and ISIS in Yemen.

Peace in the Middle East is our strategic choice, and our duty is to spare no effort to work together towards achieving a bright future dominated by peace, stability, prosperity and coexistence among all the peoples of the region. Saudi Arabia supports all efforts aimed at advancing the peace process, and launched peace initiatives since 1981, which included an initiative.

Just solution to Arab-Israeli conflict

Arab peace is the basis for a comprehensive and just solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict that ensures that the Palestinian people obtain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

We also support the efforts made by the current American administration to bring peace to the Middle East; by sitting the Palestinian and Israeli parties at the negotiating table to reach To a fair and comprehensive agreement.

As we follow with concern the developments in Libya; we call on all Libyan brothers to sit at the negotiating table. Besides, standing together to preserve the unity and integrity of Libya, we condemn the foreign interference in Libya. We also support the peaceful solution in Syria; the exit of militias and mercenaries, and the preservation of the unity of Syrian soil.

Supporting the Lebanese

Saudi Arabia also stand with Lebanese people; exposed to a humanitarian catastrophe due to the explosion in the port of Beirut. This comes as a result of the domination of the terrorist Hezbollah; affiliated with Iran, to take decisions in Lebanon by force. This led to the disruption of the constitutional state institutions. Besides, the achievement of what the Lebanese people aspire of security, stability and prosperity that requires disarming this terrorist party.

We also call from this platform for intensifying efforts and joint international action to confront the major challenges facing humanity in the field of climate change; combating poverty; and organized crime; the spread of epidemics; and other challenges that require strengthening our cooperation to work towards a bright future; in which future generations live in security and stability and peace.
