Saudi Arabia and China Join Military Exercise “Blue Sword 2019” in Jeddah

The Royal Navy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, representedby the Special Forces of the Western Fleet in Jeddah, and itscounterpart of the Chinese People's Navy carried out today a mixed navalexercise titled "Blue Sword 2019", in the presence of the Commanderof the Western Fleet Vice Admiral Faleh bin Abdulrahman Al-Faleh and theChinese Military Attaché to the Kingdom, Senior Colonel Lin Li, at King FaisalNaval Base.

The exercise aims at buildingmutual trust, enhancing cooperation between the Saudi Royal Navy and theChinese People's Navy, and exchanging and developing experiences in the fieldof maritime terrorism and piracy to raise the level of combat readiness.
