Saudi Arabia and US Sign Agreement to Implement Multi-sector Joint Program in Cox’s Bazar

Saudi Arabia signed virtually today an agreement with the United States of America to implement a multi-sector joint program in Cox's Bazar District of the Republic of Bangladesh through the implementing partner World Food Program, with the aim of rehabilitating multi-use homes, with a total value of $ 2,000,000.

The agreement was signed by Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah and Acting Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, John Barsa, in the presence of Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States and the U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia John Abizaid.

87,165 individuals benefit from the program, including the people in need and most affected by natural disasters and conflicts in Bangladesh.
