Saudi Arabia calls on United Nations to take action against Houthi death traps

The Kingdomof Saudi Arabia has called on the international community and the UnitedNations to act to force Houthi militias to stop planting mines (death traps)that cause dozens of civilian casualties, and to take urgent measures tocounter Houthi weapons stockpiles and disarm this terrorist militia.

This cameduring the Kingdom's address to the Special Political and DecolonizationCommittee (Fourth Committee) in the session held on item 47 (Mine Action). Theaddress was delivered by the member of the Kingdom's Permanent Mission to theUnited Nations, Second Secretary Faisal bin Saeed Al-Bishi, who reviewedHouthis' planting of mines and Saudi efforts to clear them.
