Saudi Arabia celebrate 90th National Day with great achievements and more

In the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia celebrates the 90th National Day of the Kingdom on Wednesday 23 September as the kingdom received cable of congratulations from kings and presidents of Arab countries while citizens  organized more festivals to celebrate the day.

The celebrates its 90th National Day with looking to the future through major projects and ambitions that qualify it to be among the top ranked countries including the Kingdom's 2030 vision, and mega projects such as: «Neom the homeland, the Red Sea and Al Qiddiya» and many others.

The celebration of the National Day this year is considered as a special event as Saudi Arabia is in charge of G20 which lead the world's economies that proves the Kingdom's economic position under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Since the pledge of King Salman on January 23, 2015, the Kingdom has witnessed influential steps in development and progress at all levels, whether economically, socially, culturally and educational, which has strengthened the position and role of the Kingdom in the region as well as its great influence on the course of events.

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030

The Kingdom's vision 2030 depends on looking into the post-oil phase, diversifying the sources of the national economy, and relying on new resources other than oil like industry, tourism, and other projects.

The Kingdom's Vision 2030 was announced on April 25, 2016, and on June 7, 2016, the Council of Ministers approved the National Transformation Program, which is one of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs.

New projects

The 2030 vision was specifically chosen to coincide with the completion of more than 80 mega projects with cost of which ranges between 3.7 billion and 20 billion SAR, including the Riyadh Metro project, Qiddiya, NEOM and others.

The Kingdom's Vision 2030 is supervised by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and both the public and private sectors to participate in it.

The Kingdom's 2030 vision included several axes like the establishment of a sovereign investment fund, the assets of which reach more than 2.5 trillion USD as well as the liberation from the oil stage as a main source of resources.

It also aim to increase the share of non-oil exports, placing Aramco on the stock exchange, and reaching the number of tourists to more than 30 million Tourist, by establishing major projects such as the Red Sea Project or Qiddiya.

Fight against Corruption

The Kingdom's vision 2030 also included the fight against corruption, which was represented in many recently disclosed issues, in addition to entering the field of military industrialization, and providing the private sector with the opportunity to contribute to the economy.

Moreover, USD 302 billion has been allocated from the budget to spend on the government's plans for infrastructure, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, and among the most important of these projects are the smart city "NEOM", whose value reaches $ 500 billion, and "King Hamad Bridge", And «Qiddiya», and «Amala», and the Red Sea tourism project.

NEOM project

The "NEOM" project was planned to be a cross-border project, as it includes an industrial zone of 26,500 square kilometers in the far north-west of Saudi Arabia, and it also includes lands within the Egyptian and Jordanian borders "via the proposed bridge on the Gulf of Aqaba."

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the plan to establish the Neom region in October 2017, which extends for the first time between three countries, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, with investments amounting to $ 500 billion.

The project aims to transform the Kingdom into a leading global model in various aspects of life, by focusing on bringing value chains in industries and technology within the project.

The first phase will be completed by 2025, and the project is expected to be completed within a period of 30 to 50 years.

A special commission has been established to oversee the "NEOM" project, headed by the Crown Prince, and it will be supported by the Public Investment Fund, in addition to local and international investors.

The Kingdom and Egypt have also established a joint fund of 10 billion dollars to develop lands on an area of ​​more than a thousand square kilometers in South Sinai within the NEOM project, and the project will depend on renewable energy sources only.

Qiddiya entertainment project

Qiddiya is the largest entertainment, sporting and cultural project in the region, the idea of ​​which was announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on April 7, 2017, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques laid the foundation stone for the project on April 28, 2018.

The Qiddiya project, 45 km from Riyadh; Where it will be developed on an area of ​​334 square kilometers with an area that makes up 30% of the area, to remain part of the ancient natural land of the project.

As planned, Qiddiya will become the capital of entertainment, sports and arts in Saudi Arabia, and will provide various investment and career opportunities.

Amaala Tourism Project:

The Amaala tourism project was announced on September 26, 2018, and the idea of ​​the project revolves around the concept of luxury tourism based on convalescence, health and treatment.

"Amaala", the ultra-luxury tourist destination on the northwest coast of the Kingdom, announced the appointment of the leading design and architecture firm, Denniston as a major developer of the "island" project.

Worth mentioning that Amaala Island, is one of the three exceptional sites that will be hosted by «Amaala», and will provide a quiet haven for the elite of the exceptional arts community, and the wonderful design of the island will include four main elements, including a museum of contemporary art, an academy, an artist center with a wonderful lifestyle of the Riviera, interactive artistic experiences and creative opportunities for artistic and sculptures work.

The "Amaala" philosophy was inspired by the Kingdom's vision 2030 based on building a vibrant society and laying the foundations for a sustainable economy and protecting the natural environment. The Amaala project will be divided into three main phases, and the project is expected to be completed before realizing the Kingdom's vision in 2030.
