Saudi Arabia has condemned the bombing of a passenger bus in theIraqi province of Karbala that led to deaths and injuries, according to theSaudi Press Agency (SPA).
Friday's blast targeted a minibus outside the city of Karbala,killing 12 civilians, including children and women.
According to security officials, five passengers were also woundedin the bombing, which occurred as the minibus was passing through an Iraqi armycheckpoint between Karbala and Hillah.
ISIS, through its Amaq agency, on Saturday claimed responsibilityfor the bombing of the bus that killed 12 people near the Iraqi province ofKarbala.
Earlier, Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said that securityforces had arrested a man suspected of the bombing.
Iraq declared victory over ISIS in 2017, but its sleeper cellscontinue to launch sporadic insurgencies and attacks across the country.
