Saudi Arabia confirm establishing free zone of nuclear-weapons in the Middle East

Saudi Arabia have confirmed the establishing a Middle East nuclear-weapons-and-weapons-of-mass destruction free is a collective responsibility at the international level.

The Kingdom also urged the international community, the United Nations and the States parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons to fulfill their commitments to the establishment of such a zone in order to promote peace, security and stability in the Middle East and the world.

This came in the Kingdom’s speech before the Third Session of the Preparatory Committee for the 2020 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

The Kingdom’s speech was delivered by Prince Saud bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, member of the Kingdoms delegation participating in the session at United Nations headquarters in New York.
