Saudi Arabia confirms its stable situation on Arab-Israeli conflict

Saudi Arabia has affirmed its support to the Palestinian case, confirming that it is one of the most important priorities of the kingdom's foreign policy since its establishment and the central issue is that the Palestinian people obtain their legitimate rights.

Thestatement comes during a speech delivered on Monday at the United Nations HumanRights Council in Geneva by the Kingdom's Ambassador to the United Nations inGeneva, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel.

Dr. Al-Waselreiterated the Kingdom's firm position on the Arab-Israeli conflict, stressingthe right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, the restoration oftheir land and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1976 borderswith Al-Quds as its capital.

AmbassadorDr. Al-Wasel referred to the Kingdom's rejection of the law of the"national state of the Jewish people", pointing out that itcontradicts the provisions of the international law and obstructs efforts tofind a peaceful solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, calling at thesame time on the international community to address this law and any Israeliattempts aimed at perpetuating racial discrimination against the Palestinianpeople and obliterating their national identity.

He called onthe international community to support the Palestinian cause, stressing SaudiArabia's full support for all international initiatives and efforts aimed atsaving the peace process and the two-state solution.
