Saudi Arabia confirms no Cases of Epidemics or Quarantine Diseases Among Pilgrims

The Ministry of Health confirmed thatit has so far not recorded any case of epidemics or quarantine diseases amongpilgrims and that the health situation is reassuring.

The Ministry said that it focuses onthe precautionary aspects of pilgrims, and follows developments and changes inthe global health situation, in cooperation with the World Health Organizationand international health authorities, such as international disease controlcenters, also it has taken many precautionary measures, including the issuanceof mandatory health requirements for pilgrims in Hajj season according toglobal epidemiological variables.

The Ministry also noted that it hasprovided precautionary services to 666,045 pilgrims coming through health outletssince 1/11/1440 H. The general percentage of the commitment of pilgrims toprecautionary vaccines to date is 88.5% for meningitis, 80.5% for yellow feverand 89.8% for poliomyelitis.
