The President of Human Rights Commission (HRC) of theKingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad met here today withVice-Chair of European Parliament Committee on Employment and Social AffairsTomas Zdechovsky, in the presence of the Head of the Kingdom's Mission to theEuropean Union Ambassador Saad bin Mohammed Al-Arifi.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to developcooperation between the Kingdom and the European Parliament in social andhumanitarian fields, in addition to a review of the Kingdom's efforts tosupport human rights, and reforms being witnessed in this field including theissuance of 60 decisions in all aspects of human rights.
For his part, Zdechovsky emphasized that the Kingdom is amodel of moderate Islam, and this is evident through its roles in combatingextremism, and the importance of its position in the Islamic world.
