Saudi Arabia launches an app guide on self-isolation or hospital visit

The Health Ministry has updated an app that can guidecitizens and residents on whether to self-isolate or visit a hospital afterregistering their recent travel history and any coronavirus symptomsthey may be showing.

The Central Appointment System app called "Mawid" is providedby Ministry of Health to enable patients to book, cancel or reschedule theirmedical appointments at primary health care centers, as well as managing theirreferral appointments.

The app was initially launched in May 2019 as part of theministry's plans to implement digital technology as part of Saudi Arabia's healthcaresystem.

Saudi Arabia confirmed 70 new coronavirus cases on Friday,raising the total number of cases in the Kingdom to 344 so far.
