The largest project for the treatment, development and modernization of air conditioning and air purification systems in the mosques of Namirah and Al-Khaif in the Holy City was inaugurated, yesterday, which was implemented by the Ministry as part of a series of development projects in the Holy City, according to Al-Arabiya.
The largest project, implemented by the Ministry for the two mosques works to pump one million, three hundred, and fifty cubic feet per minute, pull 70 percent through the centrifugal fans, and 30 percent through the entrances and doors.
It is noteworthy that the air conditioning units project in the Namirah mosque included the installation of 60 central air conditioning units producing 100% pure air, 122 non-pure air centrifugal fans with sufficient capacity to change the air twice per hour, and 494 separate closet air conditioners.
As for Al-Khaif mosque, 13 central air conditioning units were installed, producing 100% pure air, 30 non-pure air centrifugal fans with sufficient capacity to change the air twice per hour, and 214 separate ceiling air-conditioning units.
The central air conditioning cooling and processing units are designed and manufactured by major international HVAC companies, in particular, different from the conventional air conditioning systems offered in the local markets, so that they are compatible with the construction status of the two mosques without the need for cracking or drilling, which requires future treatments.
It is worth mentioning that this project is part of the projects implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs within the framework of the Ministry’s plan and its works in pilgrimage in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030, under the guidance and follow-up of Minister Abdullatif Al-Sheikh.
