Saudi Arabia Ranks 27th Globally, 2nd in Arab World in 2020 Happiness Index

Saudi Arabia advanced tothe 27th position globally in the annual World Happiness Report 2020.The jump also lands it in second place in the Arab world.

The UN issued reportmeasures the indicators of happiness in 156 countries. The Kingdom had come in28th place in 2019 and 33rd in 2018.

The report was released onWorld Happiness Day, which falls on March 20, and measures happiness,well-being and quality of life.

In a breakdown of the Saudicities in the index, Madinah came in 46th place, Jeddah 59, Riyadh62 and Makkah 65.

The report predicted thatthe cities of Riyadh, Jeddah and Madinah would enter the list of the best 20cities in the world in the future and Makkah would reach 35th place.
