Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health announced, in a statement on Monday that 1,244 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom.

The Health Ministry said in their statement that the daily reported number brings the total number of infected cases to 502,439, including 10,510 active cases.

"There are 1,434 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable," the statement added.

It added that 16 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,992.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,523 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 483,937.
