Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health announced in a statement that 1,277 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported on Tuesday in the Kingdom.

The Health Ministry said that the daily reported number brings the total number of infected cases to 495,309, including 11,954 active cases.

"There are 1,363 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable," the statement added.

"16 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,907,"

Meanwhile, as many as 1,080 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 475,448.
