Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that 986 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Health said in their statement that the daily reported number of infected cases brings the total number to 530,981, including 10,311 active cases.

"There are 1,424 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable," the statement said.

"13 new deaths have been reported, putting the tally of fatalities at 8,297,"

Meanwhile, as many as 1,055 cases have recovered, raising recoveries toll to 512,373.
