Saudi Arabia sign agreement with Japan to boost cooperation in ICT

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) signed on Sunday a memorandum of cooperation with the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications to boost cooperation between the two countries in the field of telecommunications and information technology.

Theagreement between the two sides comes to achieve further development and growthin the information and communications technology sector for both countries.

The CITMinister Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawahah and the Japanese Minister ofInternal Affairs and Communications, Masatoshi Ishida signed the agreement inthe presence of a number of officials from both sides.

The signingceremony came during the participation of Minister Eng. Al-Sawahah in theministerial meetings of the G20 digital economy held in Tsukuba, IbarakiPrefecture, Japan, in preparation for the 2019 G20 Osaka summit, in Japan to beheld on 28–29 June.
