The UNESCO Executive Council unanimouslyapproved that the establishment of Regional Center for Dialogue and Peace inthe Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the supervision of King Abdulaziz Center forNational Dialogue.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of KingAbdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sabeel extended thanksto the Minister of Education and Chairman of the National Committee forEducation, Culture and Science, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, for hisefforts and support for the establishment of Regional Center for Dialogue andPeace.
The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom toUNESCO Dr. Ibrahim Al-Balawi expressed his thanks and appreciation for theefforts of the Minister of Education in supporting the Kingdom's file for theestablishment of the Center as part of the Kingdom's efforts through Vision2030 to promote dialogue and peaceful coexistence with different peoples.
He further said that the consensus obtained bythe Kingdom on the establishment of the Regional Center for Dialogue and Peaceshows the international recognition of its great position in fostering dialogueand peace, and reflects the its important role for accomplishing local,regional and international achievements towards promoting global dialogue andpeace.
