Saudi Arabia will launch Global AI Summit in Riyadh at the end of nextMarch, which will be an annual global forum for the exchange of experiences andpartnerships between actors and companies in the world of data and AI, underthe patronage of crown prince, Muhammad Bin Salman.

The summit, which will be held at King Abdul-Aziz International Conference Center in Riyadh on 30 and 31 March 2020, will enhance the Kingdom's leading role in the field of AI and lead the global efforts in this advanced field. It will also discuss several topics in the field of AI, the use of its technologies and its impact on society and economy.

Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of the Saudi Commissionfor Data and AI, explained during his participation in the FII2019 Forum in itsthird edition, that AI today plays a pivotal role in digital transformation invarious fields, including government, commercial, industrial, health and others  showing that what AI does is worth changingthe world around us.

Al-Ghamdi stressed that the summit will be a global platform todiscuss these new technological changes and understand the ways in which we canadapt them for the benefit of humanity.

Political leaders, heads of the world's leading companies and largeand emerging technology companies, as well as researchers, academics,entrepreneurs and investors will participate in the summit.

The Summit dedicated a diverse program to AI leaders and relatedfields, including speeches, lectures and workshops to enrich the event to bethe world's largest interactive platform in this area, focusing on enablingcompanies and governments to apply this technology and benefit from itextensively.

The summit will also be accompanied by an exhibition of the latestinnovations and products of AI to discover the applied practices of technologyin various fields.

It's noteworthy that the Saudi Data and AI Authority was established by Royal Decree in August 2019 to be the official body responsible for the national data and AI agenda in the Kingdom to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and its objectives.
