One of the border guards force ships called "Farasan" was able to save the life of an American passenger who suffered Gastrointestinal bleeding and heart trembling aboard a cruise ship in the Red Sea on its route to the port of Aqaba from Salalah, but Saudi Arabian Border Guards saved his life.
The Saudi Arabian Border Guards Forces, Lt. Col. Musfir al-Qurini stated that it is in the context of carrying out the mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 1979 International Convention on maritime search and rescue.
And in continuation of the humanitarian tasks provided by the border guards represented in the search and rescue operations, when the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (JMRCC) received a distress call after a 77-year-old American passenger suffered an intestinal bleeding aboard the cruise ship "Seven Seas Navigator" flying the flag of the Bahamas Islands, at a position in the south of the port of Jazan.
Immediately, the information was analyzed, the cruise ship location was identified, and the vessels and boats of the Border Guards were assigned to provide the necessary assistance and evacuate the patient after identifying a point of convergence between the two vessels. JMRCC also communicated via satellite communication with the Jeddah Emergency Director and the ship's doctor to give medical advice and instructions until the vessel arrived at the meeting point and evacuated the patient.
Al-Qarini confirmed that the patient, accompanied by his wife, was evacuated and transferred to the port of Jazan after coordinating with the concerned authorities and the shipping agent to transfer the patient to the Prince Muhammad bin Nasser Hospital in Jazan to complete the necessary medical examinations and humanitarian aids.
