Saudi Arabia’s crown Prince Patronizes Signing Ceremony of Riyadh Agreement

Under the wise directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, patronized here today the signing ceremony of Riyadh Agreement between Yemeni Legitimate Government and Southern Transitional Council.

The deal was officially signed in the presence of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, UAE’s Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, President of the STC Aidarus al-Zoubaidi, alongside other Arab and Western officials and ambassadors.

The ‘Riyadh Agreement’ reached between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council is seen as the result of a sincere and great effort exerted by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who officially announced the deal.

The Saudi Crown Prince stated that the Kingdom is keen on seeing the unity and stability of Yemen, adding that their aim is to support the Yemeni people and face foreign interference in their internal affairs, and heal the rift between the Yemeni parties.

In a positive reaction to the historic agreement, the United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths congratulated the Government of Yemen and the Southern Transitional Council on reaching an agreement on the way forward.
